I want to tell you in the poem
What the legend says;
In the old city of Bethlehem
The midnight star is burning;
In the barn, in the deserted wild place,
Where the ox and the ass and sleep together
In the manger Holy child is sleeping;
And on the straw the mother lies;
He Mary was born here...
Father, his hands took
His clothes swaddled,
And that son is not cold
Joseph was with him all the time,
And warmed by his breath...

And so was born Our Savior,
Our Lord, God, Jesus Christ;
All the sins of our Redeemer,
Appeared in the world in the great frost;
He was born of the immaculate Virgin,
Predicted was a prophet exactly
And the Spirit was conceived of the Holy Ghost;
About all the Books say;
Said the joy for the first time
The angel of the Lord to the shepherds,
That place was guarded at night
Nomadic sheep flocks;
And the baby bow
Was simple people from all sides...

There to pay homage to him was
Three Eastern wise men;
They are star led,
With the gifts took three casket —
The myrrh, gold and frankincense;
The baby was guessed right...
The wise men had gone the other way,
That Herod did not find out about
Where is the newborn King of the Jews...
But the one about Bethlehem found out
His people were sent there,
To make an order villainous,—
To kill infants up to two years...
Of the child Jesus in the dead — no...

His parents were
The angel of the Lord, awake,
And a marvelous light illumined
Holy Infant in the barn;
Even with sky snow cold throws
To flee immediately to Egypt
The whole family he told...
So the Baby survived...
When the wise nature
The king of death called—
The threat of life has departed,—
And no more the enemy of Herod;
Then home he returned
Love of God saved.

Jesus is our rose, came to their senses,
The Holy books knew...
In the family, he worked as a carpenter,
But in the synagogue the dispute entered;
And on the river Jordan
As predicted in advance,

Holy fulfilled the law was—
The dove, the Holy Spirit, flying
A newly-baptised to the head;

Is The Last Supper,—

Jesus told Peter passionately,—
— And for you I give my life,—
Christ said to him: "Wretch,
I find it hard to heed your words;

Until the cock crows;
And scatter my people."
And in Gethsemane left
The whole crowd of the disciples—
That night, in the faith of the weak,
And instructions forgotten...
Christ suffered; the Sunset faded
And close has been the arrest, the hour...

XXI
Christ's enemies are not asleep,
And bribing the student,—
Iscariot was his name,
In the garden of Gethsemane was; Yet
Christ prayed all night;
Every student in the dream was forgotten...
The soldiers came with a lantern
To take Christ; when you did Not know about

Went ahead of Christ embraced;

And that same night was delivered
